WESTON PICKLEBALL CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

Welcome to the Weston Pickleball Club!

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all members, we have established the following rules and regulations. Please read this manual carefully and abide by the guidelines outlined below.

1. General Rules:

a) Respect: Treat all members, staff, and facilities with respect and courtesy.

b) Equipment: Use appropriate pickleball equipment, including paddles, balls, and nets. Ensure your equipment is in good condition and safe to use.

c) Attire: Wear suitable sports attire and non-marking court shoes.

d) Court Etiquette: Follow proper court etiquette, including waiting for a court to become available before starting a new game.

e) Noise: Keep noise levels to a minimum, respecting other players' concentration and focus.

2. Health and Safety:

a) Acknowledge the inherent risks involved in any sports and assume the consequences and responsibility involved

b) Physical Fitness: Ensure you are in good physical condition and consult a healthcare professional before engaging in any strenuous physical activity.

c) Hydration: Stay hydrated by bringing your own water bottle and drinking fluids regularly during play.

     

3- Nondiscrimination Clause:

Weston Pickleball Club is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of their race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, or any other protected characteristic as defined by law. We strive to foster an atmosphere of respect, fairness, and equal opportunity in all aspects of our club's activities.

As an organization, we do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on the aforementioned protected characteristics. All members, participants, volunteers, coaches, and staff are expected to adhere to this non-discrimination policy. We value diversity and believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to participate in and enjoy the benefits of our sports club.

Specifically, the Weston Pickleball Club commits to:

  1. Providing equal opportunities for participation and membership, irrespective of an individual's race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability or any other protected characteristic.

  2. Treating all individuals with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of their background or identity.

  3. Ensuring that our club's policies, practices, and procedures are free from discrimination and bias.

  4. Taking appropriate action to prevent and address any incidents of discrimination, harassment, or exclusion that may occur within the club.

  5. Encouraging diversity and actively seeking to create an inclusive environment by promoting awareness and understanding among club members.

  6. Providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure their equal participation in club activities, in compliance with applicable laws.

  7. Promoting and enforcing this non-discrimination policy throughout the club,

    including during, training, and promotion of members, volunteers, coaches, and staff.

Any member, participant, volunteer, coach, or staff member found to be in violation of this non-discrimination policy may face disciplinary action, which could include suspension or termination of their involvement with the club.

We encourage all individuals associated with Weston Pickleball Club to actively contribute to the creation of a diverse, inclusive, and respectful environment. Together, we can build a sports club that celebrates and embraces the richness of human differences.

4. Disciplinary Actions:

a) Code of Conduct: Maintain appropriate behavior and sportsmanship at all times.

b) Violations: Any violation of club rules, abusive language, cheating, or any other form of misconduct may result in disciplinary action.

c) Progressive Discipline: The club will implement a progressive disciplinary system, starting with verbal warnings and escalating to temporary or permanent suspension if necessary.

d) Appeals: Members have the right to appeal disciplinary actions by following the club's designated appeal process.

Please note that these rules and regulations are subject to change at the discretion of the club management. It is your responsibility to stay updated on any modifications.
